Dr Charles Pidgeon

Charles qualified in 2014 from King’s College London Dental Institute, formerly Guy’s Hospital London, following both Parents and his Grandfather. Upon qualification, he was awarded the Jelf Medal from the Principle of the College for outstanding undergraduate achievement.
Charles completed his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016. Following working in practice, he spent-two years as a surgical trainee in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. It was here that he pursued his keen interest for dento-alveolar surgery.
Charles enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a passion for Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. He joined St Leonard’s Dental Practice following the family tradition, now becoming the Fourth Generation in his family to provide care for his patients. He is an Executive Committee Member on the National BDA Young Dentists Committee representing young dentists across the UK. Charles also sits on the Local Exeter Section BDA Committee, along with the Devon Local Dental Committee, which represents dentists practicing in primary care in the area.

Dr Amelia Pidgeon

Amelia graduated from Cardiff University and began her career in Wales before moving to London. She has since returned to Exeter, where she grew up, to join the family dental practice. Amelia is an enthusiastic and caring dentist who prides herself in ensuring patients feel relaxed and at ease throughout each and every appointment. She has a calm and gentle manner which lends itself particularly well to treating anxious patients.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but has developed an interest in restorative dentistry and facial aesthetics. She has completed a prestigious year-long certificate course in Advanced Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry under the renowned UK cosmetic dentist Dr. Christopher Orr. 

In addition, Amelia has undergone advanced training in facial aesthetics at an award-winning, multi-accredited academy. She provides anti-wrinkle treatments and skin boosters. Amelia has a real passion for helping others feel the best version of themselves!

Outside of work, Amelia enjoys staying active at the gym and socializing with friends.

Dr Natasha Doherty

Natasha graduated from Bristol University in 2002 and completed her vocational training in Yeovil before returning to Bristol to practice general dentistry. Originally from Devon, she moved back to the southwest in 2014. After taking a career break to raise her four children, she resumed her passion for dentistry by focusing on dental hygiene. Natasha takes great pride in creating a comfortable experience for her patients, attentively listening to their concerns, and guiding them toward improved oral health. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, walking, and spending quality time with her family.

Dr Lauren Wood

Dentist

Lauren graduated from the University of Bristol in 2023 with a distinction. She then returned home to begin her dental career, completing her Dental Foundation Training in Exmouth.

In September 2025, Lauren joined the team at St Leonard’s Dental Practice. She spends her time between the practice and community dental services where she is currently working towards her qualification in both inhalation and intravenous sedation.

Lauren has successfully completed Part 1 of the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons. She is also an active member of the Local Dental Committee and has attended national conferences representing dentists in Devon.

Outside of dentistry, Lauren enjoys keeping fit and active by going to the gym, swimming and playing netball. She also likes to be creative and always has an art or crochet project on the go!
