Frequently Asked Questions

When should my child first visit the dentist?

We recommend visiting as soon as their first teeth erupt to begin building a relationship with us and normalising dental visits.

How can I help my child avoid cavities?

Minimise sugar intake in the diet, good brushing habits (parental or supervised brushing up to age 7), use of fluoride and regular check-ups.

Are fluoride treatments safe?

Yes. Evidence-based data suggests that fluoride use is very effective at preventing tooth decay. The tiny quantities of fluoride in toothpaste and varnish do not significantly affect general health.

What if my child is nervous?

From start to finish, we take a gentle, friendly approach to help children feel relaxed and confident. Our dentists are experienced with working with children and our paediatric patients usually enjoy coming to visit us!
